How does ORCID verification work?
You enter your ORCID iD and we pull your affiliation, degrees, and publication history from the public ORCID registry, so you don't have to retype them. Full OAuth-based identity verification — where you log in directly through ORCID.org — is on our roadmap; until it ships, a synced profile means the details match a real public ORCID record, not that we've independently confirmed you're the owner of that iD.
How do you protect against predatory journals?
Every journal submitted to Editor's Board goes through our human Verification Desk. We cross-reference ISSN registries, verify publisher ownership, and check indexing databases (DOAJ, Scopus, Web of Science) before any vacancy is approved for public listing. This substantially reduces predatory listings, but no registry check is a perfect guarantee — we also rely on user reports (see "Report this listing") to catch what registries miss.
Is Editor's Board free for academic scholars?
Yes. Building a verified academic profile, browsing openings, receiving journal invitations, and applying to editorial positions is completely free for scholars, always.
Can I use both Academic and Journal workspaces with one account?
